Final Fantasy Coming Soon!

Final Fantasy VII, VIII, & IX are coming soon in EBOOT.PBP format. All you will need to do is download & install my PSX EMU Pack v0.3 then your PSP will be ready for these games.

My dvd drive is giving me an I/O error on my 2nd FFVII disk. I'm going to skip it for now & download it later. I'm going to start ripping IX.

UPDATE April 3, 2008:
I bought Rockband on tuesday. all work on this project is halted until further notice. Also I am having Game save problems while switching discs, so its become a pain in the ass.

At the moment, I'm actually making a Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII action video for Youtube. With my favorite video editing software, Adobe Premeire. I only have the CS2 version though. I should probably upgrade soon....

Anyways, you can expect the files towards the end of the month once college is done. Unless some lost soul stumbles upon this blog and begs for them. Then i'll see what I can do.

RELEASE: PSX Emu Pack v0.3

First off please update your PSP to at least CFW 3.80 M33, I run CFW 3.90 M33-2 which is currently the latest CFW update. You can find them at Dark_AleX's website: http://www.dark-alex.org/.

Step 1:
Download The files below.

Step 2:
You will get a folder called seplugins. Copy everything in that folder into your existing seplugins folder on your PSP.

Step 3:
Turn off your PSP completely. Turn it back on, but hold in the top R button to start in recovery mode.

Step 4:
Go to Plugins, and enable Popsloader. Then go back & exit.

Step 5:
Copy a game into your "X:/PSP/GAME" folder

Step 6:
The first time you run a PSX game, it will give you an option to choose the firmware you wish to emulate. The next time you open the game, it will not give you a menu. To change the mode, start the game then hold in the R button. It will give you the same menu from before.

It supports running games in the follow modes:

3.72
& whatever is installed on your PSP.

NOOB TUTORIAL #1: Using Torrents

This complete Noob Tutorial teaches you how to download files using a torrent P2P program for Windows XP or Vista.

Step 1:
Go to http://www.utorrent.com & download their software.

Step 2:
Go to http://www.torrentz.com

Step 3:
Search for whatever you like in the search box

Step 4:
Once you find a file you like, click on the link

Step 5:
You will see a list of other sites. Click on one.
Mininova & PirateBay are my favorites

Step 6:
Find the download link or button on the new site. Click it. It will ask you what you want to do. There no need to save, just click OPEN.

Step 7:
Wait a few seconds for it to download. If uTorrent isn't already started it will start up. uTorrent asks you where you want to save the file(s).

Additional Tips:
* Torrents with high seeds download better than low seeds
* Right click on your downloads in uTorrent, then click Force Start. they will download faster
* Periodically Right click and select Update Tracker. This will also help your torrent download faster.
